have you ever stared at a washing machine as it spun?

i just did, squatted there like a coolie and just watched as the soapy water swooshed over the clothes and water flooded the thing and drained away. but only for a while, before my parents came and wondered if i had lost my mind. (they didn't)

am mentally dry, had a marketing discussion in the morning, and then the mad rush for the interview with daren ( i did a typo and almost typed darne-...) with miss joyce. who happily sat there as i flubbed (i don't even know what this word means) it. anyways. we were late, yes. i don't even want to talk about it. it's just murphy's law at work, and i WISH i had borrowed the darned--yes, i mean it now--recorder in the morning even though it was lower class than the mickey moused ones that nobody bothered to return. we waited till lunchtime--WHY DIDN'T I THINK OF IT--to borrow cos the guy at the counter told me to. And so we waited like anxious spiders for the uncles to come back from lunch, after diya kindly called uncle tan to hurry back and tend to the damsels in great distress. and then we flew. but were still...unpunctual. i shall not discuss this further.

we went to great world after, sat at starbucks and had the usual wonderful iced cocoa with raspberry. rasberry. why do you even need the p in that fruit. cos it makes you pee? we sat there and did our work--joyce called her sponsors while i worked on my graphic comm design assignment, sleeping and waking again to a wonderous idea. and when i say sleeping, i mean in an unglam pose with the open mouth which was captured in joyce's camera phone. i deleted it when she went to the toilet, of course. you know what they say about friends who let you in on their atrocities of life(farting, pooping, ETC); they want a part of your unspeakable side as well to indulge in the sadistic activity called sabotage.

after she went off on her shuttle to catch Jumper--which, incidentally i wanted to watch but she decided not to jio me--i took a walk around great world, this second home of mine. it was strangely serene. perhaps it's a monday afternoon thing; people decide to come to their senses and not flood shopping malls, making passageways larger and the entire ambience that much quieter. walking alone without any objective in mind is, i must say, therapeutic. though company is always appreciated, it is good to have 'me time', sometimes. it was a good thing that there werent any nice things i saw, for i was quite set on a compulsive buy, just because. maybe another time.

so now i'm home and sitting in front of my com in my studyroom. not in front of my little laptop (i'm not boasting really) but this wide screen (again, i'm not boasting) com which kena-ed virus some months back and caused much mayhem and pointing fingers...which were directed at me, of course. i'd like to think it NOT karma but a chance to be pitiful and see who will side me. (i can't remember who did.) which reminds me of what's that game s12 likes to play. dang it. oh yes, mafia. during chinese new year when we played, for some strange reason everyone kept thinking i was the mafia, aka the murderer. come on man. must be because i look too innocent. YOU THERE, HOLD YOUR BARF.

oh and i finally washed my favourite sweater, this orangey peach one with the letter 'R' written on the front. after more than a year ever since i bought it in december 2 years ago. hahahaha. i know, i know. but i haven't worn it for almost a year, so it's alright, i guess. (please don't ostracise me) so much for being a favourite sweater, right. i keep forgeting! plus, the colour's supposed to run (it did), so i didn't dare put it in the machine with the rest of the innocent clothes, lest it stained them and i have to squat in the kitchen scrubbing floors and manually washing my own clothes to atone for my sin.

alright. i think it's time to shower. ciao.
